I provide career and mental health counseling using a mindful, values-based approach that helps you better manage your distressing or negative thoughts, reducing your anxiety and (possible) depression as you do more of the things in life and work that are important to you.

After working with me, my clients feel empowered and happier because their anxiety has lifted and they’re better able handle their work stress. They feel confident and ready to move on in their careers. And should they decide to move on from their current workplace, they feel motivated to find a new position with the tools to do so.

How I can help

I specialize in the intersection of mental health therapy and career counseling.

  • As a Kelley School of Business Alumna, former Kelley Professor, and trained Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I’ll help you lower your work stress and anxiety. We’ll work on techniques that will help you manage tricky work situations so your stress and anxiety will no longer hold you back at work or affect your personal life.

  • Together, we’ll discover where your self-esteem challenges or imposter syndrome comes from and work with tools you can use to increase your self-esteem so you’ll once again (or for the first time!) feel confident in your work and life, ready to take on new challenges.

  • With my 20 years’ experience as a career counselor helping adults and college students choose and change careers, we’ll explore different career paths by looking at your interests, values, skills and personality. We’ll discuss and implement ways to successfully navigate a career transition. Finally, we’ll discuss job search strategies to help you find a career that “fits.”

How Career and mental health counseling sessions work

First, schedule a free 15-minute consultation call

The first step is a short video or phone call with me. You can send me a message through my contact page, or simply use my calendar to schedule a time that works for you.

In our call I’ll ask about what’s bringing you to therapy, I’ll share a little bit about how I work and answer any questions you have. If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session.

Each week we’ll meet in-person or virtually (whichever you prefer) for a 50-minute session to discuss what’s happening at work (and in your life!).

In our sessions together we’ll explore your distressing/negative thoughts and feelings that are making you feel stressed and anxious. We’ll learn tools that will help you handle those thoughts and feelings in a way that gives you more peace, the ability to be more present, and able to take action according to your values.

Sessions are available in-person in Bloomington, IN or virtually across Indiana.
